Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about sending money with Dicha.

General

Dicha is a mobile app for sending money from the United States and Canada to friends and family abroad. Pick a recipient, pick an amount, and send — no wallets, cards to load, or investing products to navigate.

Dicha supports 16+ receive countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America & the Caribbean, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, India, the Philippines, and Mexico. See the full list on our Countries page.

It depends on the delivery method. Bank deposits need account details; mobile money needs a phone number linked to the wallet; cash pickup just needs the recipient's name and ID.

Fees & pricing

Dicha shows you the exact fee and exchange rate before you confirm a transfer — never a surprise at the end. Fees depend on the destination country, amount, and delivery method, and are typically lower than traditional money transfer operators.

We show you the total cost — fee plus rate — clearly before you send, so you can see exactly what your recipient will get. There are no hidden markups buried in fine print.

Delivery

Mobile money transfers usually arrive within minutes. Bank deposits typically land within one business day. Cash pickup is usually ready within minutes of sending. Exact timing depends on the destination and delivery method.

Depending on the destination, you can send to a bank account, a mobile money wallet (like M-Pesa or GCash), or for cash pickup at a partner location.

Security

Yes. Dicha uses bank-grade encryption, works with regulated payment and banking partners, and verifies every account to keep your money and information secure. Read more on our Security page.

Dicha operates through licensed and regulated money transmission partners in the markets it serves. Compliance and consumer protection are built into every transfer.

Account

During sign-up, we'll ask for basic identity information required by regulation to keep the network safe. Most users complete verification in a couple of minutes right in the app.

If a transfer hasn't been picked up or deposited yet, you can usually cancel it from the Activity tab in the app. Once funds are delivered, the transfer can't be reversed.

Dicha is available for iOS and Android. Download it from the App Store or Google Play — see our Download page for links.
